MD Studio is an indie game development company based in France.
Our debut game, The Abbess Garden, was released in March 2026. It’s a cozy and historical gardening game set in 17th-century France, with real plants & a spy plot. It is available on Steam and GOG for PC, MacOS, and Steam Deck.
This game is absolutely charming! The music is really lovely, and I love the facts about medicinal plants. I hadn’t expected an entire espionage B-plot, but I love how it’s adjacent to the abbey and how it pulls the story along. I was absolutely THRILLED to find a canonical sapphic romance in this game too!
We are currently working on a new game, still unannounced 👀
